Jakarta Vertical Run 2026 is held to coincide with the 499th Anniversary of Jakarta City — part of the long journey towards the 500th Anniversary of DKI Jakarta on June 22, 2027.

Every step conquered, from the ground floor to Floor 106, is a symbol of Jakarta's transformation journey — from a small port in Sunda Kelapa to growing into a modern metropolis with the tallest building in Indonesia.

What Is Jakarta
Vertical Run

Jakarta Vertical Run is a tower running race at the tallest building in Jakarta, held on November 14–15, 2026, at Autograph Tower — the tallest building in Indonesia and in the Southern Hemisphere, with 109 floors (Top of Spire).

In this inaugural edition, participants will run up more than 2,120 stairs to reach the finish line at Floor 106, the Upswing & Sky Bridge area. This year's event coincides with the 499th Anniversary of Jakarta City and has been recorded in the MURI (Indonesian World Records Museum).

Starting Wave Provisions

Participants can choose their start time based on the registration order. Wave 1 & 2 are for participants who will run; Wave 3 & 4 are for participants who will power-walk up the stairs to Floor 106.

  • Start interval: 10 seconds (Elite), 30 seconds (Open/Senior), 1 minute (other categories).
  • Start time: 05:10 to 11:00 WIB.
  • Minimum age: 15 years old.

Cut-Off Time

Enjoy every challenge at your own pace — for mutual safety, the entire race series ends at 11:00 WIB in accordance with committee regulations.

BIB & Timing

BIB must be worn on the front, clearly visible, and non-transferable. The timing chip must remain attached. Participants without a valid BIB are not allowed to enter.

Shoes

Before the Race

  • Arrive 30–60 minutes before the start
  • Wear your BIB on the front

  • Cross the timing mat at the start line

  • Follow the race official's instructions
  • Move at a comfortable pace
  • Stop & report if you feel unwell
  • Dispose of trash in the designated place

Stair Etiquette

  • Inner left side = fast lane for passing
  • Outer right side = normal lane
  • Give way to faster runners
  • Move to the corner if you need to stop

After the Race

  • Cross the finish line & timing mat
  • Collect your medal in the designated area
  • Maximum 15 minutes in the L.106 recovery area
  • Use the designated exit elevator

For participants who will run or power-walk up the stairs from the ground floor to Floor 106, consistent training is essential to complete the challenge at your own pace.
